We have recently started working with Robina pest control company Zapem Pest Management. We’re looking at all aspects of their website, including search engine optimization and conversion (of those searches into clients). There website had a solid base for us to build on but was light on content. With the home page being by far the most prominent page, we started there.
Focussing on pest control
The search terms that include pest control are by far the biggest in this industry. We wanted to include more content including this keyword phrase. Hence we redesigned the home page somewhat so we could include more content.
We kept the look of the page very similar to what it was previously. We’re not here to rebrand the website, just increase traffic and conversion.
Adding a pest control page
We’ve also added a pest control page. It’s something of a work in progress at the moment but currently looks like this:
Zapem have provided us with lots of good images and some video from inspections they’ve done. This gives us such a flying start when it comes to developing new pages. We already have experience in this area with pest inspector Gold Coast Pest Inspector, so the content is quite familiar to us. Having good images to help that content is such a wonderful thing.
It’s still very early days with Zapem Pest Management so we’re not seeing much return on our efforts yet. Google often reacts negatively to sudden changes to a website. We’re seeing that with a few search terms, where they have dropped. We’ll weather that storm because we know that once we develop consistency and direction, our search results with Google will respond accordingly.
